OMAN, MUSCAT – Giant Yellowfins at Muscat, Oman

Despite a somewhat challenging season start after a 2-year hiatus, our guests could hardly have dreamed of what awaited them this season. The normal average size of Yellowfin Tuna usually ranges between 40 and 60 kg. However, this season, we took it up a notch. Truly massive specimens were roaming off the coast, and all the subsequent catches weighed between 80 and 100 kg. Unfortunately, some of these monster fish were lost during the fight, but that’s part of the game. Towards the end of the season, the catch numbers improved, and there were even days with up to 25 landed Yellowfins.
